About This Event
About:
We have long-internalised beliefs and ‘models’ of how we should parent neurodivergent children and adolescents. Many of our formal and informal understandings of what we ‘should’ or ‘need’ to do have been embedded in generations of patterns that we accumulated. An authentically ‘neurodivergent–friendly’ approach to parenting in an evidence-based manner requires that we undergo a process of evaluation of what we do, how we do it, and why? This brings us closer to returning many of our dolphins to being able to breathe underwater -instead of expecting them to breathe on the beach. This day focuses on developing the family ecosystem – if possible, both parents should attend.
