The ''TANIWHAS DEN'' is a boutique electronic music and art event. Located in a unique setting in Hinakura, eastern Wairarapa. February 6-8th 2027 is the 13th Taniwhas Den, opening with mind blowing visual effects from our lighting crew and a DJ line up featuring the best Aotearoa has to offer. Known as the DEN, the event is now part of the Hinakura Art Galleries event and exhibition program for 2027. Featuring artist using LED light, light sculptures, projections, lasers and special effects. Aotearoa's finest DJ's will bring you an eclectic 48 hours of music over 2 days, 2 nights, from 2 stages, providing something different on each stage and mood for your day. The Den provides on the site free drinking water, showers, clean toilets, friendly helpful security, and a great variety of food vendors in the market place area. Please be aware of the following guidelines for admission. The Taniwhas Den is strictly R18 We reserve the right to refuse entry, or ask you to leave the event. Dogs and pets, please leave at home as they will be refused entry There is NO phone or internet service at the event location. Leave the troubles of the world at the gate and relax into the world of the Taniwha. Emergency situations are covered if you need to contact someone or use the internet our security personal will make this happen for you. No means No, your rights are paramount, and we don't allow any type of bulling or coercive behaviour.
