Sonairte is an environmental charity established in 1988 that runs Sonairte Visitor Eco-Centre – a visitor experience which promotes a love of the outdoors, organic produce, eco-awareness and sustainable living. The centre is run almost entirely by dedicated volunteers together with Tus and Community Employment (CE) scheme hosted staff. The centre is open to the public from Friday to Sunday 9am to 5pm, and we also take bookings for organised groups, workshops and courses. Our walled garden produces tasty, certified organic produce that protects and supports biodiversity. Sonairte is a place like no other and has something for everyone. Stroll the Walled Organic Garden, explore the Nature Trail, have a picnic, visit our Eco Shop and Information Centre, follow our Heritage Trail or call into our Bee Museum.
