Packin' Heat Productions is a Leeds-based partnership committed to staging high-quality drag acts and producing events that celebrate the alternative community and queerness. Our shows, hosted by Drag Kings AJ-47 and Tommy Gun, are designed with the accessibility and affordability of our audiences in mind. Northern England sees little of the United Kingdom's arts funding, and minority-led performing arts like drag have fewer venues, promoters, and opportunities than mainstream artists. We aim to use our platform to promote underrepresented artists and reward them, and our staff who facilitate these events, with competitive pay. Providing a space and a service in which talented acts can develop their practice is at the very heart of our work, most especially our fellow queer performers and artists from other minorities who face greater barriers to entry within the performing arts world.
