re you looking for a fun and challenging children's only Triathlon? If so, come join MCCS in our MCAS Keiki Tradewind Triathlon! This sprint triathlon will consist of two age divisions: 7-10 years old division and 11-14 years old division. This race will start at Hangar 101 with the swim portion taking place in the calm waters of Kaneohe Bay, and transition to the bike ride throughout the beautiful and scenic Marine Corps Base Hawaii flightline, finishing with the run. This race is open to the general public. The 11-14 age division race will start at 0630 on Saturday, September 23rd, 2023. Distances: Swim: 200 Meters - Bike: 3.2 Miles - Run: 1.2 Miles The 7-10 age division race will start at 0730 on Saturday, September 23rd, 2023 Distances: Swim: 50 Meters - Bike: 2 Miles - Run: .8 Miles ALL PARTICIPANTS REQUIRING BASE ACCESS (NON-DoD CIVILIANS) MUST REGISTER NO LATER THAN FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 8th. Online registration deadline: Wednesday, September 20, 2023 by 11:59HST Check in and Safety Inspections: Check-in begins at 0500. The safety brief for the 11-14 age group will take place at 6:15am. The safety brief for the 7-10 age group will take place at 7:15am. Helmets must be worn at all times while on the bikes. Bike inspections will be available prior to the race. Swim portion: There will be lifeguards to assist as needed.
