1:15 PM – Floorwork for Performance & Choreography
Dive into musicality, style variations, and seamless choreography integration in this intermediate-level workshop. Learn how to effortlessly weave floorwork into your routines while exploring different choreographic styles, including:
- Slow, erotic podium-style movement
- Upbeat commercial-style floorwork
- Soft, lyrical/contemporary flow
We’ll also cover how to adapt your movement for different stage sizes, sightlines, and performance settings. You’ll explore flow, performance dynamics, musicality, and improvisation—and don’t worry, improvisation doesn’t have to be scary!
Who is this for?
This is an intermediate-level class, designed for dancers with some experience who can keep up with choreography. However, this is not a trick-heavy workshop, so the focus is on artistry, transitions, and performance quality rather than complex acrobatics.
A Note on Inclusivity:
Floorwork has its roots in sex work, and this workshop is facilitated by a sex worker. Whorephobia will not be tolerated. If this does not align with your values, this is not the workshop for you.
