Walk On Water - Mt Bold Reservoir - Enjoy, Explore, Preserve

About This Event

Everybody is welcome to join Walking SA and SA Water to explore the unique Mt Bold Reservoir environment.

Choose from two free public walks: Easy 4km pram and family friendly walk and Challenging 9km hike

Two walk options:

• Easy 4km walk:
  Flat, and scenic, on tracks and sealed road, includes visiting the dam wall.
  Toilets at start and enroute.
  Allow up to 2 hours to enjoy the experience.
• Challenging 9km walk:
  Includes the easy route plus a challenging trail climb above the dam to a spectacular lookout, before eventually descending down a steep gradient back to the start.
  Toilets at start and on 2 other locations enroute.
  Allow 3 hours or so to complete this beautiful walk.

This Free Public Walk event is hosted by Walking SA in conjunction with SA Water (Reservoir Reserves).

Know Before You Go

1. To participate in this UNGUIDED but clearly marked trail walk we require participants to fill in the Medical Information Form:

• If you are able to PRINT the form, please download the Medical Information Form, fill it in and bring it along on the day.
• No printer? That's ok, we'll have the Medical Information Form available on the day for you to fill in. Please allow arrive 30 minutes before your walk to allow time to fill in the form.

2. To ensure the safety and enjoyment of your experience please read the guidelines about what to bring and what to wear.

3. Start point: Mt Bold Reservoir, Gate 2, Reservoir Road Mt Bold. Drive into reservoir until Gate 84, where you will be guided into a field for parking.

4. Please arrive 20 minutes before your walk is due to start. Please allow extra time for parking, and for filling in the Medical Information Form.

5. Please consider car pooling as it is approximately 35kms from Central Adelaide, and allow plenty of time for the drive.

6. There is no food or refreshments available, so please ensure you have supplies for a day hike in the bush, including at least 1 litre of water.
