Viennese New Year Concert in the Nave of Rochester Cathedral

About This Event

The Friends of Rochester Cathedral are delighted to invite you all to their annual Viennese New Year Concert.

This much‑loved event has become a highlight of the New Year calendar in the Nave of Rochester Cathedral, and thanks to the generosity of the Dean we are once again able to offer everyone the chance to enjoy a wonderful concert featuring the superb City of Rochester Symphony Orchestra, accompanied by the wonderful local soprano Laura West.

The performance includes Schubert’s Overture Die Zauberharfe and many Strauss favourites, including The Blue Danube, Annen Polka, and the Radetzky March.

Tickets for seating in the Nave are available in three tiers: £45, £35, and £25. Members of the Friends of Rochester Cathedral are entitled to a discounted ticket.

This event will help us raise funds for new sustainability work in the Cathedral, including the installation of a heat pump which will save over £4,000 per year in operational costs.

Please join us as we welcome the New Year with the talents of our wonderful Medway musicians.
