We are delighted and privileged to have Barbara Mortimer, an underwater history detective, as our guest speaker, who will be sharing her experiences in discovering previously unknown shipwrecks.

Barbara Mortimer is a BSAC diver and technical diving researcher, renowned for her expertise in identifying lost U-boats. She is a member of the Gasperados Dive Team, and BSAC News has previously featured articles about her and her team's endeavors.

Barbara is affectionately known as the "U-boat nerd" within her dive team. She finds the greatest joy in researching, diving, and identifying lost U-boats! Her specialization lies in researching and identifying World War I submarines. Her historical data expertise greatly supports the team's diving and survey efforts, aiding in the confirmation of wreck identifications.

If this topic piques your interest, please express your interest via email. Tickets will be priced at £10 each, with a limited availability of 100 tickets. It is not to be missed.

There is also an opportunity to purchase a pie and pea supper at a cost of £5, which I have on good authority is also not to be missed.
