Month 1 of a 3-Month RMT Workshop Series

Understanding Touch: The Foundation of Therapeutic Touch

The Touch Lab is a three-month workshop series created for Registered Massage Therapists to learn, practice, connect, and grow together.

Each month explores a different stage of clinical practice through hands-on learning, live demonstrations, case discussions, and peer-to-peer knowledge exchange.

MONTH 1 — UNDERSTANDING TOUCH

Our first lab explores the foundation of therapeutic touch and what it means to become more intentional with your hands.

You’ll explore:

👐🏾 Understanding Touch — develop your awareness of tone, texture, temperature, tenderness, pressure, rhythm, and contact.

✋🏾 Massage Principles & Techniques — review foundational massage principles and practice introductory techniques and treatment flow.

🌿 Preparing for Treatment Holistically — explore the client experience from health history and communication to the treatment environment and practitioner presence.

🧠 Clinical Case Study — work through a client scenario and develop a treatment approach with fellow RMTs.

🤝🏾 RMT Roundtable — share techniques, experiences, and lessons learned from your own practice.

This is an interactive, hands-on experience designed to get you out of the traditional classroom and into the lab.
