The Army 125th Birthday Cocktail Party

About This Event

Come and enjoy an evening at the Duntroon House Officers' Mess at the Royal Military College to celebrate the 125th Anniversary of the Australian Army.

The dress for the evening is:

(a) Senior leaders and invited guests - Senior Officer Mess Kit or international equivalent

(b) Officers, Cadets, SNCO and Warrants - Summer Mess Kit or Black Tie

(c) JNCOs and Soldiers -Dress Order 2F (Polyester - general duty dress, cold weather - less head dress) or Black Tie

(d) Civilian Invited guests - Black Tie with miniature medals or respective service/national equivalents.

Entertainment will be provided by the Australian Army Band with capability displays established around the grounds. The event will include a speech from the Chief of Army, canapés, and a variety of platters, finishing with a ceremonious cutting of the Army Birthday cake.

A selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are included as part of the event, with a complimentary cocktail being provided on arrival and subsequent cocktails being paid for separately throughout the evening.

NOTE - Guests should be aware of allergens associated with the food provided and seek assistance from serving staff prior to consumption, please request specific dietary requirements at ticket checkout (or) email your dietary requirements to duntroon.officersmess@defence.gov.au

NOTE - The event is being conducted across the Duntroon House Officer's Mess grounds which includes flat and gently sloped grass areas. Please consider your foot ware accordingly (ladies please take note when considering heels).

Parking

Limited parking is available on Duntroon Garrison. Please consider using a Taxi or Uber. VIP parking and drop off will be in the vicinity of the Duntroon Cafe located on Fraser Rd denoted below, with access to the venue via Legge Rd.

Shuttle Bus Service

A complimentary shuttle bus service will run from the ACT Health Centre multi-storey car parking area from 1700h to 2230h. The pick up point is located on the corner of General Bridges Drive and Harrison Road, Campbell. The shuttle will drop guests to the entrance point to the event.

 From 5:30pm: General guests begin arriving

6:05pm – 6:20pm: Official Guests arrive

 6:25pm: Governor-General arrive

6:30pm: MC Welcome

6:40pm: Chief of Army Address

6:50pm: Governor-General Address

6:55pm: Cake cutting

7:00pm – 8:30pm: Reception

8:30pm: MC Invites Official Guests to depart

11:00pm: Reception concludes
