Stitched Still Life 

Friday September 22 2pm - 6pm.   $120 per person

As part of my arts practise, I really enjoy stitching into my paintings, particularly on water colour paper. 

It adds a whole new dimension and mixes two of my favourite mediums...paint and embroidery.

I'm not an expert at stitchin but I like to work more intuitively and learn new stitches as I feel I need them. Its very satisfing transforming your painting into something a litt

WORKSHOP

Continuing the very Spring theme ....In this workshop , you will be able to choose one of my drawings or create your own (I will help you) and we will paint A4 gorgeous still life in what ever your favourite colours are. We'll be using gouche acrylic paint  and you could be creating something for your self or a special gift..

While thats drying, I will demonstate how to stitch into the paper and begin to add some fabulous textures and colours into your painting. We'll using the sewing machine and hand embroidery.

We will discuss how far you can take the artwork and ways that we can push ourselves to create something that is uniquely yours.

This might set you off on a new pathway with your artwork and I have to say, it is a very relaxing way to pass away the time, particularly if you like something to do while watching tv. Thye make great gift cards too!

They look AMAZING framed up and I know you will just love it. I'll make sure you leave the workshop with lots of great ideas and a passion to continue at home.

I'm always available for feedback on any of your future projects.

WHAT IS INCLUDED:

• ALL materials to complete your stitched still life.
• If you have a pair of scissors, some sewing needles and a sewing machine, please bring those with you. I will have one machine to share.

• We do need to have a minimun number of participants...if this is not achieved, the workshop will be cancelled and you'll receive a refund or...we can come up again and reschedule the workshop.

• Full payment guarantees your place... All info will be sent to you upon booking.

• Full refund or credit if cancelled with in a week of the workshop.

• No refund if cancelled less than a week but...

• You can transfer your place in the workshop to a friend.
