About This Event
Do you have a stash of lonely, lost, odd socks? Come and learn how to repurpose them to make a sock monster with character.
If you don't have your own socks to bring along, don't worry, there will be plenty for you to choose from.
This workshop uses basic handsewing techniques so has a minimum age requirement of 10 years. We ask that all children are accompanied by an adult for the duration of the workshop, the accompanying adult does not have to be taking part in the workshop if they do not wish to do so. Please note that only people who have paid for tickets will be able to participate with the activity.

Charnwood Eco Hub is a not-for-profit, shared community hub based in Loughborough. Our aim is to provide a space to meet, make, fix, create and share sustainable ideas and resources.
Finding us – To gain access to the Eco Hub on a Thursday or Saturday, please enter through SOFA, this is the shop we share a premises with. Their entrance is on the corner of Clarence Street and Nottingham Road. Then, follow the signs for the Eco Hub that are on the floor throughout the shop, they will lead you to the stairs.
If your event is on a Wednesday evening, please use the access door on Clarence Street. The door is almost directly opposite Travis Perkins, and will be marked by our sign. The door will be closed but there is a bell system in place, simply ring the bell and one of our volunteers will be there to let you in promptly.
Accessibility - Charnwood Eco Hub is on the first floor of the Towles Mill Building (SOFA), on the corner of Clarence Street and Nottingham Road in Loughborough, please note that at present the lift is out of order.
Travel / Parking – The Eco hub is a short walk from the Loughborough Train Station and town centre. We are also on a number of bus routes including 1, 9, LC5, LC8 and Sprint. Public parking is available on Clarence Street, however please note that this is time limited during daytime hours. There is a car park to the rear of the shop that shares the building with us (SOFA), however spaces are very limited as half of the car park is sub-let to another company. We encourage you to please car share where possible, use public transport or walk.
