On Saturday 4 October 2025 at 8pm, election day in Georgia, there will be a special event in Les Salons, at the French Institute, South Kensington, As part of the 9th London Georgian Film Festival at Ciné Lumière. Prisoners Of Conscience will consist of screenings of short films about individual prisoners as well as speakers: Natalie Sabanadze, former ambassador and previously head of the Georgian mission to the EU, now Senior Research Fellow, Russia and Eurasia Programme Chatham House; David Vashadze, executive director of the Georgian Film Institute, whose brother is the imprisoned political leader Giorgi Vashadze; Lasha Bakradze literary scholar and former director of the Museum of Georgian Literature. Amnesty International will also be present to answer questions about their campaign for imprisoned actor Andro Chichinadze. Any donations and proceed from the event will go to a trusted platform like Sinatle.media although as circumstances evolve this maybe updated but will be confirmed at the event.

There will be time for socializing with Georgian wine and snacks with thanks to Les Caves de Pyrene and Geamos

The films are presented in collaboration with Georgian Cinema Under Threat and will be introduced by filmmaker Elena Mikaberidze.
