About This Event
Do you find yourself repeating instructions constantly to your child, getting frustrated as they struggle to maintain focus on their school work and observing them act impulsively when triggered?
Inattentive, hyperactive and impulsive behaviours can be exhausting on parents to manage on a daily basis. Add that to juggling family and work life, and the guilt we feel when things at home are not going smoothly. Parents, managing children with needs and challenges does not have to be confusing and lonely.
ADHD is a neurodevelopmental condition that follows a child and teen throughout their lifespan.
Parents need to be updated on how to understand and then support their child/teen successfully.
Join other parents as we cover these topics over 4 sessions:
- Basics of understanding ADHD
- What parents truly wish for your child/teen
- Strategies for parenting them effectively
- Bringing out the best in each child/teen
Dates:
- Mons & Thurs 7, 10, 14, 17 Oct 2024
- 12.00pm to 1.30pm, Lunchtime Zoom Online
- Lunch is not provided
This 4-session small group parent training and support session has benefitted 150 parents to date. It is the first step to parents learning to support their children with attention issues more strategically.
Trainers are parents with lived experience raising children and teens with ADHD. Come prepared for a time of learning and connecting with other parents and be prepared for the transformation of your parenting journey!
[Having a diagnosis of ADHD for your child/teen is not a requirement.]
