This course continues with further chemistry activities, but it is not necessary or assumed that you have completed Part 1 to participate in Part 2. You can enjoy this course in Term 2 and then join us later in the year for the Part 1 course!
Run by Linden from Riverside Science, your child will be engaged with FIVE 1-hour fun, hands-on and challenging science sessions that will enable them to continue exploring chemistry using both the Tiny Science Lab 'Junior Chemistry Set One' AND 'Junior Chemistry Set Two'. 🧪🧪🧪
IMPORTANT:Â You only need to purchase ONE ticket to have access to ALL five sessions.
Ages: recommended for 7* to 11-year-olds
*this course involves the use of matches and candles, please consider if your child will be able to participate safely using this equipment
When: the online sessions will run weekly on a Wednesday, 11am to 12pm (Syd/Mel time - AEST), starting on Wed 22nd April and finishing on Wed 20th May, 2026.Â

If you don't have the 'Junior Chemistry Set One' with 'Chemicals, Consumables and Accessories for the Junior Chemistry Courses One and Two', you will need to purchase this too. Alternatively, purchasing the 'General Science Set'  will give you all the equipment you need, at great value, for the junior courses as well as the high school General Science courses.Â
3. Read the information in the confirmation email (will be sent out 2 weeks prior to lessons starting) carefully to ensure you have the workbook and additional household items ready to go for each lesson.
Educator: Linden Simmons
Linden is a dad of three homeschooled children, a former Science teacher of over 7 years and more recently has worked in the EdTech space. He started Riverside Science at the beginning of 2023 and is loving bringing hands-on learning to kids across the country. Linden is passionate about helping kids be curious about the world around them and come to a better understanding of how it works. With a Bachelor of Science and Diploma of Education, Linden loves learning himself and sees the development of strong scientific skills as something increasingly important for all of us to develop. Outside of science, Linden enjoys playing touch football, basketball and being on the river kayaking or using the rope swing!

Only one ticket required per online, family class login. This means if siblings share a computer only one ticket is required.
However, it is HIGHLY recommended that each participant has their own Junior Chemistry Sets for the course.
Location? Your home, the kitchen or dining room are perfect.
What does a lesson normally look like? This is a live lesson with Linden as the teacher, explaining what students are to do, demonstrating, answering questions, facilitating discussion, etc.
What is the average class size? Each week there is on average 10-14 students on the video call.
Will we need the camera on? Preferably yes. Linden can only engage with students who have video on. At the beginning of the course Linden must also see that it is a legitimate child participating in the class.
Is the online class recorded? Yes, classes will be recorded and be made available only to attendees who have purchased a ticket. Recordings will be taken down two weeks after the classes finish.
Is the Google Meet platform safe? A link to the class will be emailed out to ticket purchasers and only those with a ticket can access the online session.
Is the class safe? Children need to be supervised by a responsible adult as science activities can be dangerous.
Can I invite others to buy tickets to the Course? Absolutely! The kids will love doing the class with their friends or family.
