Pack your bike, throw your swag in the back and join us for a winter weekend of adventure riding, campfires and good company in the heart of South East Queensland's adventure riding country.

After years of riders telling us the annual DR & Adventure Bike Gathering was getting a little too warm by October, we decided it was time to create a dedicated winter event for adventure riders of all makes and models.

The Frosty Throttle Rally brings together everything riders love about the annual gathering — just with cooler riding temperatures, crisp winter mornings and campfires that burn long into the night.

Whether you ride a Tenere, DR, KTM, Africa Twin, BMW GS, Triumph, Himalayan, V-Strom or anything in between, you'll be among like-minded riders who appreciate great roads, great stories and the freedom that only adventure motorcycling can provide.

The Location

Nestled in the historic timber town of Jimna, Jimna Base Camp is the perfect base for exploring some of Queensland's best adventure riding terrain. From scenic gravel roads and forestry tracks to winding mountain routes and iconic ADV destinations, you'll have no shortage of riding options throughout the weekend.

The Vibe

This isn't a race, a competition or a highly structured event.

It's a chance to escape the daily grind, ride some fantastic country, meet great people, share stories around the fire and enjoy a winter weekend dedicated to adventure motorcycling.

Whether you're travelling solo, with a mate or as part of a group, you'll be welcomed into a community that shares the same passion for exploring the road less travelled.

Weekend Program

🔥 Friday – Arrival Day

Settle In & Stoke the Fire

Arrive at Jimna Base Camp, set up camp and catch up with fellow riders as adventure bikes roll in from across Queensland and beyond.

As the sun sets and the campfires crackle to life, the inaugural Frosty Throttle Rally begins.

🍽️ Friday Night Dinner

6:00pm – 7:00pm
📍 Jimna Sports Club

Enjoy your first catered meal of the weekend. Be on time — nobody leaves hungry.

The bar will be open (drinks at own expense). Please note there is no BYO at the Sports Club.

Facilities include:

Then it's back to camp for stories, laughs and planning tomorrow's adventure around the fire.

7:00am – 8:00am
📍 Under the Old School Building

Fuel up before heading out to explore the incredible adventure riding country surrounding Jimna.

We'll provide maps and GPX files so you can ride solo, with mates or join others for the day.

Whether you're chasing gravel roads, forestry tracks or scenic mountain routes, Saturday is all about enjoying the ride.

🍽️ Saturday Night Dinner

6:00pm – 7:00pm
📍 Jimna Sports Club

Return for another hearty dinner, swap stories from the day's adventures and settle in for another memorable night around the campfire.

7:00am – 8:00am
📍 Under the Old School Building

Enjoy a final country breakfast before heading out for one last ride, relaxing around camp or catching up with friends before the journey home.

Best of all, there's no checkout time, so there's no need to rush.

Stay a little longer and make the most of your final day in Jimna.

Suitable for all adventure motorcycles and rider experience levels.

Ride as much or as little as you like — this is a relaxed, social weekend built around great riding, good company and the unique atmosphere that makes Jimna special.
