What is Wonder Thunder Blunder?
"A thrilling mix of science, imagination and possibility" Michael Rosen
It’s a book for curious minds aged 9+ and for every adult who still believes the world can change. It’s about fighting climate despair and anxiety, and finding the real stories of hope, action and wonder that are already happening. It’s also funny, human and very entertaining.
Inside are 50 poems from 22 of the most incredible children’s poets and spoken word artists in the UK. Forty of the poems are brand new commissions, inspired by over 30 brilliant scientists, experts and climate collaborators.
The themes and poem subjects are the result of five years of learning from Chris Redmond and Liv Torc of Hot Poets, working with the UNFCCC and over 100 climate partners around the world. The poets were mentored by the amazing Michael Rosen, the book was edited by the genius skills of Matt Harvey, and workshopped with leading climate scientists from Oxford University.
Not only that — Wonder Thunder Blunder is bursting with incredible facts about real climate action, the challenges we face, and planetary wonder, plus self-portraits from the poets and original illustrations and design by Liv Torc.
This book is unique, rare and full of hope.
Proceeds go to our education programme and to putting Hot Poets in UK schools.
