About This Event
Queensland's FINA International Qualifier will be held on Saturday 2nd & Sunday 3rd of May, 2026 at Mr Ninja HQ! We will be holding TWO skills events on this weekend - SPEED & ENDURANCE! You can compete in just one event or why not try BOTH at a discounted rate!
COURSE BREAKDOWN:
SPEEDÂ - held on Saturday 2nd May from 2pm onwards.
- 8 obstacle course with time limit
- Every athlete will receive 2 attempts at running the whole speed course
- Best overall attempt will be recorded as official result
- No Retries - one attempt per obstacle ONLYÂ
- 1 point awarded per completed obstacle - unlimited fails
ENDURANCEÂ - held on Sunday 3rd May from 9am onwards.
- 12 obstacle course with time limit (max 15secs rest between obstacles)
- ONLY 1 course attempt per athlete
- No retries - one attempt per obstacle ONLY
- 1 point awarded per completed obstacle - unlimited fails

- 7U Male/Female (6-7 years)
- 9U Male/Female (8-9 years)
- 11U Male/Female (10-11 years)
- 13U Male/Female (12-13 years)
- Young Adults Male/Female (14-24 years)
- Amateurs Male/Female (25 years +)
- Masters Male/Female (40 years +)
- Top Flight Male/Female (13 years + & Elites)

- Athletes may choose to compete "up" one age division. Adult athletes may not compete "up" to Masters - all Masters athletes MUST be 40 years + by the eligibility date listed for the current season. Masters athletes may choose to compete "up" to Amateur division or Top Flight divisions. Any athlete age 13 years + may choose to compete "up" to the Top Flight Elite division.Â
- Athletes must compete in the same divison for the entirety of the FINA season

INTERNATIONAL QUALIFYING for FINA World Championships:
Athletes may qualify for FINALS in one of 3 ways:
1. The TOP FIVE FINISHERS in each division will be eligible to compete in the respective Final.
2. Athletes who successfully complete ("clear") an individual Speed or Endurance course within the time limitand finish sixth, seventh or eighth in their division will automatically earn a spot to compete in that respective Final.
3. Athletes will be awarded a single point for every obstacle completed prior to expiration time on the respective course. Points can accumulate throughout the International season from competition to competition and are accrued for the specific discipline earned for the specific discipline earned. Athletes that earn 14 Speed points throughout the International season, will be eligible to compete in the Speed Finals and athletes that earn 18 Endurance points throughout the International season, wil be eligible to compete in the Endurance Finals.
