
About This Event
Expressions of Interest from Youth Archers who would like to attend Archery NSW Youth Development Weekend 3rd to 5th January 2024 at Cataract Scout Park are open now. This will operate on a first in basis until numbers are full.
You will travel to camp on Friday morning with an adult parent unload your gear, then the camp begins. Â
The Coaches
This weekend has been developed and will be run by Ricci Cheah, National Paralympic Coach and former Youth Archer. Peter Boukouvalas OLY will be in attendance on the first day to help archers prepare their training plans.
Ricci has had 5 international caps as a youth and was a Youth World Cup Gold medallist. Coach of the Australian Paralympic Team Ricci has trained the team since 2016, when Jono Milne won Bronze in Rio.
Accommodation
Accommodation for youth will be in the lodges. Each lodge has 4 rooms with an ensuite in each room. Each room can sleep 6 youth. We have booked 2 lodges with a maximum of 48 youth.
Assisting adults will have access to a leader room with ensuite. Female adults may share a room if they wish.
Parents
We are also seeking expressions of interest from youth parents who have, or who are able to obtain, a volunteer (free) Working with Children Check to assist with the camp in cooking and range setup and coaching support. Please complete the parent part of the EOI and advise where you can assist us in running the camp.
Cost
Costs for the camp will be $350. $50 is an inital non-refundable deposit
