About This Event
Welcome to the Enclaves of the World - Travels Through Geographic Oddities - UK Book Launch event! Join us at The British Library for a fascinating journey through some of the world's most unique and intriguing geographical enclaves. Discover hidden gems, remote territories, and curious boundaries that will leave you amazed.
Alexandra Novosseloff will shed light on these enclaves, geographical anomalies and accidents of history, where inhabitants live their lives at a distance from their own country. To understand the world fully, one must also understand its discontinuities, its terra incognita, its no-go zones, its limes, and realise that it does not always correspond to the colourful pages of the travel agency brochures.
Signed copies of the book will be available at this launch event
