RULES & REGULATIONS:

• RIDERS MAY COMPETE IN ONE RING ONLY FOR THE DAY
• The show committee reserves the right to amend the program at any time without notice
• The judge and committee have the right to ask competitors to not continue showing at the event if any of the following occur- concussion like symptoms, falls or injuries that are deemed to impact on the ability to safely handle a horse.
• Competitors must pay $10 insurance for the day if they are NOT members of Derwent Valley Horse Riders Association
• Lead rein handlers must pay $5 insurance for the day if they are NOT members of Derwent Valley Horse Riders Association
• The judge’s decision is final and Judge discretion to divide classes on the day if required
• No judge is to be approached at any time by any competitor, regardless of reason, this will result in disqualification
• Any horse that is deemed unruly, dangerous, diseased or lame will be asked to leave and all entries will be forfeited
• All forms of tranquillizers or painkillers are prohibited as per the EFA and RAS rules
• Bad Sportsmanship Or Abusive Language will not be tolerated.
• Riders and handlers minimum age of 5 years old, and to be always accompanied by a competent handler.
• All Riders and handlers must wear safety-approved helmets and safe riding boots IN ALL LED AND RIDDEN CLASSES

GUIDELINES
1. THIS SHOW IS TO HELP HANDLER/ RIDER CONFIDENCE.
2. NO SPURS OR DOUBLE BRIDLES ALLOWED, HELMETS TO BE WORN IN LED CLASSES AND RIDING CLASSES.
3. CANCELLATION POLICY- ENTRIES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. REFUNDS WILL ONLY BE GRANTED UPON PRESENTATION OF A DOCTOR OR VETERINARIAN CERTIFICATE WITHIN 7 DAYS AFTER THE EVENT OR AT THE DISCRETION OF THE DVHRA COMMITTEE.
