Dixon House Community Wills Day - Fundraising Event

About This Event

What is this booking for?

A 30 minute timeslot for you to consult with a solicitor to complete a basic will. A basic will is one that contains a few clauses and typically includes:

• appointing an executor
• appointing a solicitor
• distribution of assets to spouse or children
• appointing simple power of attorney
• appointing medical decision maker 

Note: anything apart from what is stated above, or anything above that is more complex, will attract additional fees - will be advised during consultation.

Refund Policy (PLEASE READ)

Cancellations

• 90% refund if 7+ days or more before the event.
• 60% refund if 3–6 days before the event.
• No refund within 72 hours of the event – see below for more options.

Transfers

• You can appoint someone else to take your slot up to 24 hours before the event.

Event Cancellation or Rescheduling

• If we cancel, all participants receive a full refund of the $125 fee.
• If we reschedule, participants may:

·       Move their booking to the new date, or

·       Request a full refund within 7 days of being notified.

Non‑Attendance

• Refunds are not available for non‑attendance on the day.

Exceptional Circumstances

• Serious illness, emergency, or other exceptional circumstances may be considered on a case‑by‑case basis. Supporting documentation may be requested.

How to Request a Refund

• All refund or transfer requests must be made in writing to coordinator@dixonhouse.org.au.
• Approved refunds will be processed within 7 business days.

Who is hosting this event

Dixon House, a neighbourhood centre in Clayton, is hosting this event. JK Lawyers are donating their time so we can raise funds to keep our free and low‑cost community programs running. All proceeds go directly to Dixon House, a registered non‑profit charity.

Promotional Recording

By attending this event, you acknowledge and agree that photography, audio recording, and video recording may take place. By entering, you give your consent for the organisers and JK Lawyers to use any images, footage, or recordings captured during the event for promotional, marketing, and archival purposes. If you do not wish to be photographed or recorded, please notify the event staff prior to entry.
