Cumbria Soaring Club Reserve Deployment Training

About This Event

We are excited to run the fourth edition of our Reserve Deployment Training Day. This is a rare chance to get hands-on with your emergency reserve system in a safe, controlled and supportive environment.

You will start by practising a reserve throw from your own harness. After that, you will clip into the 170-metre zip line with your harness and a dummy reserve, where you can test your reactions and coordination at realistic speeds. Each pilot will have up to three timed deployment runs, with our safety team observing and recording every attempt for feedback.

Choose from one of the one-hour sessions: 

• Early Bird: 09:30am–10:30am

• Breakfast: 10:30am–11:30am

• Brunch: 11:30am–12:30pm

• Lunch: 12:30pm–01:30pm

• Afternoon Tea: 01:30pm–02:30pm

Each session is limited to 8 places and tickets are allocated strictly on a first-come, first-served basis, so early booking is recommended.  Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your session start time so that all pre-flight checks and prelims can be completed efficiently.
