About This Event

Cabin Games Con is a relaxed, budget-friendly weekend retreat where tabletop gamers can escape the everyday and enjoy great games, good food, and even better company.

Set in a cosy camp-style environment, the event brings together a small group of players for a weekend of board games, card games, and social fun. Spend your days discovering new favourites, tackling epic challenges, and sharing laughs around the table. When the games pause, gather around the communal fire pit, enjoy hearty meals included in your ticket, and soak up the welcoming atmosphere. It’s like school camp — for tabletop gamers!

Important: For insurance and safety reasons, Cabin Games Con is exclusively 18+.
No drugs, tobacco or alcohol will be consumed at the premises.

Looking for Group! 

Want to contribute? Love a bargain? 

We are seeking helpers to make the weekend amazing: 

4 x Game Masters - Run a three hour game session in exchange for a big discount! Your session should accommodate up to 12 people. Some ideas to get you started: teach your favourite gateway titles, hold a Flip 7 tournament, re-fight the Battle of Waterloo, or run one-shot indie RPGs.

2 x Camp Volunteers - Help out with the boring stuff in exchange for a free weekend! Welcome campers and hand out information packs to everyone. You'll also be asked to help out during morning tea, afternoon tea, and all meal times. Otherwise you're completely free to join in the camp.

Adventure Things

Looking for a new real-time, cooperative dexterity game? 

Kayaking, archery, rock climbing - we want to offer the community all the camp activities we remember from school camp. 

Later in the year, a survey will be sent to all campers, in order to see which activities are most popular. We know these things aren't for everybody, so there will never be any pressure to participate. 

Note: there will be a separate fee for adventure activities. 

The Accommodation

Cabin Games Con isn't about luxury - but it is about comfort. 

Campers share dorm-style accommodation with up to 18 in the room. Mattresses are single bed with inner spring coil and - if it's been a long time since your last school camp - they're probably more comfortable than you remember.  

Important Note 1: beds are bunk style, so you'll be given the choice of upper or lower beds when booking. 

Important Note 2: you will need to bring your own pillow, bedding, and bath towels!
