About the performers:
Javann Jones is a Seattle-based writer, stand-up comedian, and full-time negro. Born and raised in Alabama, his comedy contains a strong blend of equal parts Southern charm and brazen outspokenness. He's been described as "uncomfortably funny", as his comedy delves directly into topics of race, social justice, politics, dating, identity, and more.
Born, raised, and residing in Seattle, Liz Klein has a reputation as a comedy fluffer, inspiring others with her joyously contaigious laughter. While relatively new to stand up, she has a commanding stage presence and clever storytelling style after over a decade of performing and writing material.
Zahnae Aquino is a Seattle-based up and coming comedian. Pivoting from her TEDx Talk, she performs all across the West Coast by gracing the stage with her unique perspective as a young, ethnically ambiguous woman. She has opened for national headliners, and featured at places ranging from the Upper Left Fest to El Sarape Cantina (this is an amazing credit FYI).
Theresa Flores realized she was bi about the same time she realized she wasn’t cut out to work in a lab (but she is fairly certain the timing is coincidental). Instead of becoming a physicist, she has had an eclectic career in education, publishing, and internet memes. After years of never getting cast in the shows she auditioned for and subjecting her physics students to cat jokes, she officially started doing comedy in the fall of 2019.
Marie Elizabeth is an openly Autistic, polyamorous, and pansexual comedian and producer based in Seattle. Known for their sharp wit, tender heart, and rabble-rousing spirit, Marie creates comedy that merges at the intersection of healing, mischief, and radical joy. With a background in therapy and a passion for Community Psychology, their work invites audiences to laugh deeply—and maybe even feel something.
Pocket Strings is the adorably quirky Seattle duo consisting of Valerie Benti and Jackie Calapristi. They create delightful covers and originals that showcase their playful chemistry by blending nerdy ukulele tunes with infectious harmonies.
