About the performers:
Gretta Gimp is an original Seattlelite. She has been doing stand up comedy locally for 7 years. She has cerebral palsy so much of comedy focuses on the humorous aspect of having a physical disability, much of it in a self deprecating manner. It is observational because she tackles common misconceptions about people with disabilities. The audience learns through laughter that disability and sex together is not an oxymoron.
Theresa realized she was bi about the same time she realized she wasn’t cut out to work in a lab (but she is fairly certain the timing is coincidental). Instead of becoming a physicist, she has had an eclectic career in education, publishing, and internet memes. After years of never getting cast in the shows she auditioned for and subjecting her physics students to cat jokes, she officially started doing comedy in the fall of 2019. When she’s not tutoring students or on stage, Theresa is usually found in a library or on a ddr machine.
Valerie Benti (she/they) takes their day-job as a scientist very seriously, except when they're doing science comedy, which is most of the time. Her biggest comedy achievement is performing at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2018. After moving to Seattle in that same year, she founded Geeky Comedy Seattle,” which she considers to be her second greatest achievement. You can now find Valerie performing, singing, and producing geeky content wherever they'll let her.
Ian Crowley is originally from the midwest but move to the PNW two years ago and began doing standup comedy. this is me Ian I’m trapped here writing a bio about myself but I am resistant to describing my comedy help me escape please!! Ian runs two open mics in the city, @queerstothefrontcomedy & @kitchensinkmic
Megan KD (she/her/they/them) is a smoke show of a queer comedian coming in hot from Seattle providing sidesplitting gut-busting celiac disease mom jokes that will leave you wondering who is this weirdo and how can I see my therapist after this show.
