About This Event
This workshop is split across two days. We meet 1 hour on the 12th AND on the 19th of March.
Visual changes in dementia can make everyday tasks more challenging and can sometimes lead to uncertainty for both you and your loved one. When daily activities require more guidance, it can feel as though your time together becomes focused on “doing” rather than simply “being” together.
This workshop helps you support your loved one’s independence and autonomy in practical ways, so that everyday activities become safer and easier for them to manage. Increasing times of shared presence, creating more space for calm, connection, and enjoyment together.
By understanding how visual changes affect daily life, you’ll be able to create an environment that naturally promotes safety and participation. This not only reduces stress, but also gives you back time and emotional energy — allowing your relationship to take centre stage rather than care tasks.
You can gain more:
- More independence and autonomy for your loved one
- Safer, more manageable daily routines
- Less time spent on hands-on care tasks
- More time for meaningful moments together
- Greater confidence and peace of mind for both of you
