Welcome to Corryong Memorial hall High Tea. This day is a celebration of 150 years since Corryong was proclaimed a town, the most isolated town in Victoria. You will be entertained by the Australian Army band straight from Kapooka, local College students band, Proclamation re enactment, a fantastic piper all supported by "The two of us' duo with voices of angels.
As you sit and enjoy these presentations you will be served, over three servings, an array of delicious food, tea & coffee. The bar will be operating where you can purchase a selection of wines,beer and soft drink. Final serving will be a mouth watering sponge cooked by the Chairperson of Corryong Red Cross. Delicate crockery will inspire you and take you back to a finer world.
All ticket holders will receive a special souvenir of the day. A raffle will be available for a prize in keeping with our spectacular countryside .
The Australian Army Band Kapooka’s acoustic group is a small group featuring a talented vocalist and rhythm section. They deliver a blend of rock, pop and country music, offering an engaging performance that resonates with a wide range of audiences. The group creates an intimate and energetic atmosphere, showcasing both classic hits and contemporary favourites.
You are encouraged to dress in 'bygone' fashion... maybe a bustle, petticotes below billowing skirts, men in waistcoats and lace up boots. Maybe farmer garb! Of course this is not mandatory.. really come as you please.
The afternoon will be jam packed concluding around 4.30- 5pm. We are sure you will receive 'bang for your buck' See you there.
