A day on dangar

This event is open to all Hosting Masterclass NSW students & graduates

‘A Day on Dangar’ is our special Spring get together. October weather on Dangar Island is usually gorgeous and we are looking forward to a lovely day out on the beautiful Hawkesbury River.

The day will unfold as follows:

ARRIVAL

11.00am Be at the ferry wharf at Brooklyn for the scenic vintage ferry ride to Dangar Island (via Wobby). 

11.30am Arrive at Dangar Island, you’ll be met at the jetty for the short walk to Trevally House

PRE LUNCH

Prosecco and nibbles by the River on the island’s north side looking over to the Brisbane Waters National Park, a chance to meet & catch up with old and new THM friends.

LUNCH

At around 12.30 its a short walk to the village green, where a long table lunch will be set up outside (weather permitting).

Our lunch will be catered for by the Dangar Island Bowling Club and feature a main course of either Japanese inspired Miso Salmon or the vegetarian option of Miso Eggplant served with broccolini and rice. Both are gluten free. There will be a glass or two of table wine included in the tarrif & other drinks are available for purchase at the bar. Please indicate your main course choice at the checkout.

Following mains we will be treated to an indulgent fruit and dessert platter.

ALSO ….

There will also be a mini brocante to browse in the garden with stalls of local art, homemade baked goods and pickles, vintage wares from Slow Folk & a selection of ceramics from Milburn Ceramics.

If you’re energetic enough, barefoot bowls is available after lunch (at an extra pp charge)

At the end of the day there will be a takeaway away bag for each participant with lovely surprises inside from some our our favourite THM suppliers & a special badge draw. (If anyone has something to add to our bag, please be in touch).

DEPARTURE

Our recommendation is to aim for the 3.45pm ferry back to Brooklyn, or get together with others & book a water taxi at a time to suit you.

STAYING ON THE RIVER

You may decide to just come for the day, or look at options to stay on the island or somewhere nearby on the river to make a weekend of it. (If you stay on the river but off island, you’ll need to book a water taxi to get to Dangar for the event)
